**Principal Profile**: STEM Innovation Academy NW Junior High School
STEM Innovation Academy is a public charter school authority located in Calgary, Alberta. We are currently seeking a principal for our new junior high location that will be opening in August 2025. Located in the Calgary Charter Hub, this 7-9 school community will serve a student population of approximately 300 students. The anticipated start date for this position is February 1, 2025.

In combination with our high standards of academic excellence, our unique and locally developed STEM program will enable us to fulfill our vision and be the premier learning community for the design and advancement of innovative Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics education.
Effective instructional leadership and staff development through collaborative structures (i.e. PLCs) that results in excellence in teaching and learning.
Supporting a comprehensive repertoire of excellence in planning, instruction, and assessment practices to meet the learning needs of every student.
Engaging industry and community partners to support the STEM IA charter goals.
Establishing a safe, caring and inclusive environment where diversity is respected, and all members of the school community are welcomed.
Engaging with all partners to establish clear goals and set direction.
Maintaining high expectations for self, staff, and students through caring, respectful, consistent, and proactive approaches.
Facilitating the development of leadership capacity in others.
Effective solution-focused problem solving and decision making to make the most of school resources.
Establishing effective home/school communication plans that effectively report progress of student learning and achievement to parents.
