**Education and Training**:

- Registration with the College of Dietitians of Ontario is essential.
- Membership in the Dietitians of Canada preferred.
- Completion of Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics and an accredited Dietetic Internship Program is essential.
- Ministry of Labour “Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps” training certificate is required.

**Experience**:

- Minimum of six (6) months’ experience in an acute care setting.
- Experience in Critical Care setting is preferred.
- Experience in Oncology and TPN (Total Parenteral Nutrition) is preferred.

**Knowledge/ Skills/Ability**:

- Demonstrated ability to manage nutrition issues and counsel patients in nutrition principles, dietary plans, food selections, and adapting dietary modifications to the patient’s lifestyle is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team, as well as being able to work independently and prioritize workload is essential.
- Demonstrated computer skills and proficiency in Meditech and Microsoft Office software, e.g. Outlook.
