Health Services Administrative Assistant

**POSITION OVERVIEW**
Reporting to the Health Services Project Co-Ordinator, the Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support for the Health Services program and staff.
**ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Scanning, filing and data entry
- Ensuring phone inquiries are taken care of in a timely manner.
- Co-ordinating and documenting meeting minutes with internal staff, and IFNA stake holders.
- Support proposal submission process with review, edits and constructive feedback
- Updating community nursing stations of any changes.
- Provide administrative support to communities, and IFNA Health Services Staff.
- Ensure document guidelines are being followed when handling medical information.
- Maintain the highest standards in the areas of: professionalism, ethics and patient confidentiality.
- Experience and understanding in providing culturally relevant and competent care with Indigenous peoples.
- Other duties as assigned by the Health Services Manager
- Completion of secondary school would be an asset
- Experience working in administration
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to multi-task and problem solve
- The ability to speak Ojibwe, Oji/Cree would be considered an asset
- Ability to use MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to adapt readily to stressful situations and to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to problem solve and work independently.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including excellent listening skills
**ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS**
- Ability to speak one or more local dialects from within IFNA communities considered asset.
**Deadline**: April 19, 2023
Salary will depend on a variety of factors, including schooling and experience

- Thunder Bay, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
