**Overview**:
Responsible for driving and sustaining all community engagement initiatives across multiples platform - The Community Engagement Coordinator ensures the strategic development of long-term community initiatives, including business-to-business partnerships, full-scope community events planning, and oversight of external communication platforms, in order to support the goals of the organization and the community itself.

**Responsibilities**

1. Direct, lead, and coordinate long-term community engagement initiatives under the advisement of executive management.

2. Dive community engagement revenue streams including business and vendor partnerships and sponsorships.

3. Oversee community-focused communications across multiple platforms, including the management of social media and relevant advertising campaigns.

4. Work with managers to drive and coordinate the execution of in-house and community based events, such as vendor sessions, Pks and product demonstration days.

**Requirements**:

- Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in communications, public relations or event management is preferable.
- Minimum of two years proven results with the management of small and large events/fundraisers
- Marketing and/or media relations experience is an asset
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven ability to establish effective working relationships with all levels of management and external third-parties
- Strong organizational (time management), analytical, and problem solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task, manage and meet tight deadlines.

- Must have own transportation and the flexibility to work some evenings and weekends

**Experience**:

- Event Planning: 3 years (preferred)
- Community Engagement Planning (Project Management): 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 5 Licence (required)
