**Position Overview**
At Aviron, we're revolutionizing the fitness industry with our state-of-the-art connected rowing machines. By integrating game psychology, we're making workouts both fun and challenging, and we're looking for a dynamic VP of Sales to propel our growth even further.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Sales Strategy & Execution**:

- Develop a comprehensive sales strategy that targets growth across all channels: vertical resellers, big box resellers, and strategic partnerships.
- Analyze market trends, competitor strategies, and customer preferences to inform and adjust sales approaches.
- Set clear sales targets and key performance indicators for each channel to ensure consistent growth.

**2. Team Leadership**:

- Manage and mentor the existing sales team, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
- Identify hiring needs and drive recruitment to expand the team in line with business growth.
- Implement regular training and professional development programs to ensure the team remains updated on industry best practices and sales techniques.

**3. Channel Development**:

- Establish, maintain, and deepen relationships with key accounts, especially within big box resellers like Best Buy, Dick's Sporting Goods, and platforms like Amazon.
- Negotiate contracts and deal terms to ensure profitability and long-term collaboration.
- Regularly review account performance, addressing any issues and identifying opportunities for further collaboration.

**4. Process & Reporting**:

- Design and implement robust sales processes that streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
- Develop comprehensive dashboards and reporting mechanisms that provide insights into sales metrics, channel performance, and team productivity.
- Regularly review and analyze sales data to inform strategic decisions and ensure a data-driven approach.

**5. Global Expansion**:

- Identify potential markets for expansion, considering cultural nuances and market dynamics.
- Build relationships with international vertical resellers to establish Aviron's presence in new regions.

**6. Profitability & P&L**:

- Oversee the sales department's budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
- Regularly review sales margins to ensure profitability, making adjustments as necessary.
- Collaborate with finance to maintain a profitable P&L for the sales department, ensuring revenue growth aligns with cost management.

**7. Data-driven Decision Making**:

- Champion a culture of data-driven decision-making within the sales department.
- Personally oversee data analytics related to sales, utilizing tools and platforms to gather, analyze, and visualize sales data to refine strategies and approaches.
- Implement tools and platforms that enhance data collection, analysis, and visualization for the sales team.

**Qualifications**:

- 8-10 years of sales leadership experience, with a proven track record of success with big box resellers and Amazon.
- Bachelor's degree in business or related.
- Experience working in a startup environment, especially within the Series A-C stage or similar-sized companies. Must demonstrate the ability to build teams, processes, and reporting structures from scratch.
- Strategic mindset with an ability to execute tactically when needed.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time for customer visits and tradeshows.
