VP of Sales - Technology and Software Sales Opportunity in the Public Transit Sector
Location: Toronto, Ontario Base Salary: $150,000 with On-Target Earnings (OTE) $500,000 (uncapped) Introduction Our client is at the forefront of the electric vehicle (EV) revolution, embarking on a journey to redefine urban mobility with our client's cutting-edge technology and sustainable solutions. Their leadership team comprises executive alumni from Meta, Tesla, TikTok, and other industry giants, bringing unparalleled experience and insight to their operations. We are seeking a VP of Sales to spearhead their sales initiatives, driving growth and establishing their presence in the competitive EV market. This role offers a unique opportunity to work alongside some of the most knowledgeable and influential figures in the tech and automotive industries. Role Overview VP of Sales will play a pivotal role in building and leading a high-performing sales team, dedicated to expanding reach within the government sector. With a strong emphasis on early-stage growth and sales enablement, the ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of success in sales leadership, particularly within the transit space. Experience selling to government entities is highly desirable, given the strategic importance of these partnerships to our business model. Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies that align with the company's growth objectives, focusing on the government sector and potential opportunities within the transit space.
- Team Development: Build, mentor, and lead a sales team capable of achieving ambitious sales targets, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and resources to succeed.
- Market Expansion: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the government sector, leveraging your expertise and network to establish fruitful partnerships.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our founding team and other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to market penetration and customer satisfaction.
- Performance Analysis: Regularly evaluate sales performance, providing insights and recommendations to optimize strategies and achieve desired outcomes.
- Extensive experience in sales leadership, with a minimum of 10 years in senior roles.
- Demonstrated success in selling to government entities and familiarity with the transit space.
- Strong background in sales enablement and proven ability to drive early-stage growth.
- Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with a focus on mentoring and development.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage and persuade high-level stakeholders.
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to Toronto.
