Vancouver, Canada BC Children's Hospital Digital Lab Full time

**JOB SUMMARY**

The Project Coordinator will be actively involved in the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of digital initiatives led by the Digital Lab (an integrated unit of BC Children’s Hospital and the University of British Columbia’s Department of Pediatrics). The aim of the Digital Lab is to improve the lives of children and families through digital innovation and technology.

Reporting to the Product Lead, the Project Coordinator will lead the coordination of day-to-day project development across the different functional teams and serves as a primary liaison between the various stakeholders that support the Digital Lab, our partners, and our internal team. This position is a Professional Pathway role, ideal for new graduates or those with 1-3 years of experience in a similar role. Professional Pathway roles will be supported through a structured online training and development program in a specialized area relevant to their role. Completing the online program will result in a certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution.

We are looking for a Project Coordinator who is passionate and enthusiastic about learning in a team-oriented environment, where you will work closely with our cross functional teams to deliver innovative solutions within the digital health care sector.

**WORK PERFORMED**
- Coordinates the execution of projects, assuring that they are efficient and adhere to protocols
- Align and coordinate production and development processes across the Digital Lab, in collaboration with functional leads and product management
- Maintains product road-maps, plans, schedules and budgets for projects and operations
- Organizes and facilitates Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and daily stand-up meetings
- Support, facilitate and monitor continuous improvement and removal of impediments affecting of the overall project plan
- Gathers information from internal and external stakeholders to refine project requirements and iterate project plans with the support of senior members of the team
- Triage incoming inquiries by collaborators, clients, and partners to an appropriate resolution.
- Coordinate closely with internal and external stakeholders to proactively identify, track, and escalate to resolve incoming issues
- Compile information for the development of schedules and timelines
- Draft and track progress documents against launch milestones, highlighting blockers, risks and creating mitigation plans
- Assist with the allocation of resources according to project plans and resource availability
- Maintains internal project documentation including logs and schedules and notifies the Leads of variances from project plans.
- Collaborate broadly to achieve key commitments and accountabilities, and act as a liaison between the cross-functional teams and leadership groups
- Performs other related duties as required

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Student (or recent graduate within 6 months) of an academic or technical training program, and/or willingness to undertake structured development program.
- Working knowledge of agile software development and project management principles.
- Experience in project coordination and/or product management would be a considerable asset.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines.
- Ability to work well as a member and mediator in a diverse and collegial environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills required.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, multi-task, prioritize and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Able to develop ideas/processes and clearly express them.

**Salary**: $3,300.00 per month

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

COVID-19 considerations:
We intend to return to working in office at the BC Children's Hospital - however our team is fully remote until it is safe to return according to governmental guidelines, given the sensitivity of the location.
