**ABOUT THE DIGITAL LAB**

The **Digital Lab** is an integrated unit of BC Children’s Hospital and the University of British Columbia’s Department of Pediatrics. Our mission is to improve the lives of pediatric patients and their families through digital innovation and technology. Since launching in 2016, the unit has evolved into a diverse interdisciplinary team of 40+ staff and students with a shared passion for exploring the potential that exists at the crossroads of technology and healthcare. We develop bespoke software, mobile apps, websites, media, games, and advanced simulations, as well as lead innovative clinical engineering programs within the hospital that leverage emerging technologies such as 3D printing and virtual reality. Underpinning our efforts is a robust research program that focuses on new technology development, patient-centered design, economic evaluation, and outcomes research associated with the products and services we provide. Our research is published in leading journals related to our fields.

We are a multidisciplinary team that is united by our passion for social impact, with a focus on improving the lives of children and families, locally and around the world. **JOB SUMMARY**

The **Project Coordinator** will be actively involved in the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of digital initiatives led by the Digital Lab.

We are looking for a Project Coordinator who is passionate and enthusiastic about learning in a team-oriented environment, where you will work closely with our cross functional teams to deliver innovative solutions within the digital health care sector.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**
- Coordinates the execution of projects, assuring efficiency and adherence to protocols.
- Align and coordinate production and development processes across the Digital Lab, in collaboration with functional leads and product management.
- Maintains project plans, schedules, and budgets for projects and initiatives.
- Organizes and facilitates sprint planning and review sessions, and daily stand-ups.
- Support, facilitate and monitor continuous improvement and removal of barriers affecting of the overall project success.
- Gathers information from internal and external stakeholders to refine project requirements and iterate project plans.
- Triage incoming inquiries by collaborators, clients, and partners to resolution.
- Coordinate closely with internal and external stakeholders to proactively identify, track, and escalate to resolve incoming issues.
- Compile information for the development of schedules and timelines.
- Draft and track progress documents against launch milestones, highlighting blockers, risks and creating mitigation plans.
- Assist with the allocation of resources according to project plans and resource availability.
- Maintains internal project documentation including logs and schedules and notifies the Leads of variances from project plans.
- Collaborate broadly to achieve key commitments and accountabilities, and act as a liaison between the cross-functional teams and leadership groups
- Performs other related duties as required.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a related field (e.g. Business, Technology, Science, etc.)
- 1-3 years experience in project management/coordination is preferred; recent graduates or those in a phase of career transitions are also welcomed to apply.
- Entry knowledge of agile software development and project management an asset.
- Recent experience or training in digital project or product management an asset.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to balance competing priorities.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of an integrated team.
- Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams through excellent communication skills.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, prioritize and work effectively under pressure.
- Ability to develop ideas/processes and clearly express them.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $35,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
