**Full Time Seasonal Quality Assurance Research Assistant**

(35-40 hours/week)

**Waterloo, Ontario**

The Seasonal Quality Assurance Research Assistant will have the opportunity to gain from a variety of experiences, including program visits and assessments, data collection, data analysis, research, and development into new initiatives (e.g., education resources for people who use our services), report writing, and learning and experience in the field of developmental disabilities and social services.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work on a selected variety of special projects under the direction of the Manager of Quality Assurance, including:

- Annual review of Personal Plans using a Personal Plan Quality (PPQ) tool;
- Annual review of qualitative data collective from Personal Plans related to monitoring services against organizational outcomes;
- Bi-annual review of faith and culture in Personal Plans;
- Supporting broader research and initiatives to improve supports for people receiving services undertaken by the Quality, Research and Practice Initiatives department.
- As outlined in special projects, and as directed by Manager of Quality Assurance, communicate and work with employees across the organization in appropriate forms of written and oral communication.
- Communication may include collecting feedback on specific topics or resources, arranging meetings or activities, collecting input on topics, collecting data, or confirming data, requesting information, or providing any subsequent reminders.
- Compile all collected data in a manner suitable for review and trend analysis.
- Use appropriate research methods to analyze collected information, including qualitative and quantitative data.
- Conduct literary reviews as necessary to compliment research project.
- Identify possible trends and areas of further research needed.
- Document all research findings and results of analysis clearly and concisely for use in final reporting.
- Complete draft reports for review and approval by the Manager of Quality Assurance.
- Maintain and file, both physically and electronically, all information gathered, and all documentation and reports generated, as directed by the Manager of Quality Assurance.
- Complete draft tools, resources and communications based on special projects assignments for approval by the Manager of Quality Assurance.

**Requirements**:

- Experience working with people who experience disabilities is an asset.
- Currently or previously enrolled in College or University in a relevant field.
- Computer skills (Word, Excel).
- Written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of research methods.
