We are looking for a Maintenance Planner - Haul Trucks to ensure all weekly maintenance activities are planned and scheduled in a manner that maximizes the efficiency of the assigned maintenance crew defined by Rio Tinto Asset Management to improve the overall safety, integrity, and performance of IOC assets.

Reporting to the** Superintendent Asset Management**, you will:

- Ensure critical risks are identified in the planning process with appropriate controls accounted for so the work can be performed safely and effectively.
- Lead the maintenance planning and scheduling of haul trucks, including the validation of work plans, work description, time estimates, proper SAP coding, parts ordering, staging plans, required tooling and resources required for the work.
- Create, print, and communicate weekly work schedules, including maintenance, operational and project tasks.
- Create, maintain, and optimize the maintenance program for all routine tasks.
- Participate in safety improvement programs, defect elimination process, business improvement projects, RCM, and PMO review activities related to the area of responsibility.

**What you’ll bring**

To succeed in this role, you will have:

- Journeyperson Trade Certificate, Technical Diploma or Engineering Degree in a relevant discipline (Mechanical or Electrical)
- Demonstrated in depth planning and scheduling knowledge using a CMMS system - SAP preferred
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in mining, heavy industrial, processing, manufacturing or related setting.
- Ability to multitask and organize work with a strong attention to details.
- Good communication skills with team leading personality.
- Computer literacy - Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Project), SAP, Typing abilities

The Iron Ore Company of Canada (IOC) is a leading Canadian producer of iron ore concentrate and iron ore pellets that serves customers worldwide.
