**PURPOSE OF POSITION**:

- Under the direction of the Senior Facilities Manager, the Facilities Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of PSAC Holdings leased and owned office facilities across Canada. This position requires extensive knowledge in the field of property and lease administration within a commercial real estate environment.- The key responsibilities of this position include the management of PSAC Holdings property assets, including the development and implementation of programs covering preventative and corrective maintenance, health and safety, security and asset protection, energy and environmental assessments at all locations to ensure that facilities are safe and functional for PSAC employees and that they are operated cost effectively.- The Facilities Manager is also responsible to assist the Senior Facilities Manager in the management of capital and operating projects and processes, including contractual, financial, and technical/engineering aspects, as well as monitoring of assets viability and utility through life cycle management principles, recommendations on capital improvements and redevelopment to ensure optimal utilization of lands and buildings in accordance with PSAC real estate objectives and goals. Over time the Facilities Manager is expected to lead smaller construction project management.**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**_Education/Experience_**:

- A minimum of 5 years of pertinent experience in Commercial Real Estate Property Management and Building Maintenance.
- Post-Secondary degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent. CPM RPA or PM designation are strong assets.
- Experience with LEED requirement and certification.
- Accreditation in fire safety procedures and awareness and thorough knowledge in disaster planning.

**_Knowledge_**:

- Thorough knowledge of the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System.

**_Abilities_**:

- Ability to plan and execute preventative maintenance programs and schedules.
- Ability to establish and monitor short-term and long-term goals.
- Ability to interpret and submit claims to the Workplace Safety Insurance Board.
- Proven time management skills to deal effectively with conflicting priorities and times sensitive issues.
- Ability to understand and respond strategically to operational issues with innovative solutions.
- Ability to successfully deal with change and to effectively manage organizational, operational and people issues.
- Discretion, tact and ability to deal with members, staff, tenants and suppliers in a professional manner.
- Professional judgment, weighing potential political impacts and demonstrated problem-solving, consultative persuasive and conflict resolution skills to provide sound advice.
- Second language skills as per the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) level indicated above.
