Reporting to: Director, Technical Operations, Projects & Data Management

*Non-bargaining

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must be able to perform, but not be limited to, the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Maintenance Project Planning: Develop, manage, and oversee heavy maintenance schedules, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and safety standards;
  • Lease Management: Coordinate and manage activities related to aircraft leases, including lease terms, compliance, and negotiations;
  • Service Entry Planning: Facilitate the seamless entry of aircraft into service, coordinating with various departments for smooth transition;
  • Contract Review and Management: Analyze and review contracts, ensuring alignment with project goals, identifying potential risks, and organizing all Aircraft, Engines, parts service agreements on the contracts database;
  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Monitor project expenditures via data analysis, create and manage budgets for maintenance projects, lease agreements, and service entry plans;
  • Risk Assessment: Identify and mitigate risks associated with maintenance schedules, lease agreements, and service entry pans;
  • Communication: Liase with maintenance teams, lessors, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to provide updates, resolve issues and ensure compliance.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Include, but not limited to, the following minimum skills and qualifications:

  • Post secondary education (4) years;
  • Four (4) years previous;
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify cost trends and make informed decisions;
  • Project Management Tools: proficiency in tools such as SmartSheets, Microsoft planner or other project management software;
  • Financial Acumen: Understanding of budgeting, cost estimation and financial analysis;
  • Risk Management: Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and strategies;
  • Communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders;
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to manage multiple details without losing sight of the bigger picture;
  • Problem-Solving: Capability to identify and resolve issues that may affect project timelines or budgets;
  • Time Management: Effective time managment skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines;
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the specific industry's regulations, processes, and best practices;
  • Education; A degree in project management, business, or a related aviation field is often preferred. Relevant certifications (such as Project Management Professional - PMP) can be advantageous;
  • Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams;
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing project scopes and requirements;
  • Leadership Skills: Capability to lead and motivate teams in the MTCE & ENG department & other departments, especially in larger projects.
