**DUTIES**:
Under the general direction of the designated supervisor, this position is responsible for:
Leadership Functions:
delivery of service in the absence of the designated supervisor
participating in and implementing training programs
selects and trains Page staff as delegated
provides verbal input to performance appraisals of staff

Service Functions:
providing information services
planning, conducting and evaluating individual programs and events
participating in community outreach
performing circulation functions
performing database maintenance functions
weeding under system guidelines
performing various duties at the branch, area and system level in special areas of

expertise

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma from a Library Technicians course from a community
college or similar institution
or equivalent combination of education and related experience

Minimum of 1 years’ experience
Understanding and appreciation of the philosophy of public service to all, in accordance

with human rights legislation and the principles of equity and access in the delivery of
library service

Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to provide information services to all age groups
Ability to do outreach

Ability to plan, conduct and evaluate programs and events
Ability to exercise sound judgement and to use problem-solving skills

**SALARY**:$30.65 per hour (2023 Rates)
