Library Assistant

**Purpose**:
This position provides a wide range of circulation and reserves services in Scott, Bronfman, and Steacie Library from a public service desk in person, by telephone and via library's on-line system.
**Education**:
High School Diploma.
**Experience**:
No experience required.
**Skills**:
Ability to deal calmly and courteously with the public and with difficult patrons in English. Excellent customer service skills. Basic keyboard skills. Basic cash handling. Accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to move and lift heavy objects e.g. bending, reaching when re-shelving books, pushing and pulling loaded book trucks.
