The Manager, Event Process is responsible for advancing and executing the overall strategy of the Event Process team that contributes to a consistent experience for Encore’s customers (internal/external) globally. Along with the Director, Event Process, the Manager will design and implement business processes that support organizational success and partner with key business stakeholders to drive results. The Manager will analyze business data and use this to determine market specific strategies for both short term and long-term execution planning, providing data driven solutions to internal and external stakeholders.

Day-to-day, the Manager is responsible for the review, alignment and approval of sales opportunities, with a focus on mid-level and full production events, providing guidance to opportunity owners in the development of event technical estimates. This position assists the sales team in determining event technical requirements to capture new business or to execute definite business. The Manager develops and guides the implementation of processes and SOPs that drive consistency in event execution and optimal production resource deployment while ensuring adherence to Sales, Technical and Production Standards. This position will report directly to the Director, Event Process.

Key Job Responsibilities

Organizational Leadership
- Ensure sales opportunities are vetted and reviewed, and that events are scoped correctly; namely technically and financially.
- Provide consultation and guidance to sales and operations teams.
- Partner with above property leadership in market demand planning.
- Work with the product management team to identify sales and solutions trends, assists in product adoption strategy.
- Provide leadership on execution strategy for complex/high risk business.
- Develop clear and consistent business processes for Event Process to provide a seamless experience to both internal and external customers.
- Assess and route appropriate resourcing needed on inbound opportunities to ensure customer success.
- Drive consistency in solution development and language used with internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct and report on regular quality checks on intake process.
- Ensure proper business planning procedures are employed.
- Support, sponsor and execute all company initiatives. Communicate goals and objectives to team members clearly and frequently.
- Lead by example in portraying a polished, professional image in accordance with the standards set forth in the Encore team member guidebook.
- Assist Director, Event Process in forecasting and demand planning as needed
- Assist in the development and implementation of Event Process best practices and Standard Operating Procedures
- Consult with the Director, Event Process to identify and successfully deploy new technology and resources.
- Ensure compliance with established Technical Standards and Production Standards.
- Ensure compliance with Encore Policies and Procedures to minimize company’s risk and exposure
- Drive Results by implementing financial management initiatives, including budgeting and cost management.
- Lead by example in portraying a polished, professional image in accordance with the standards set forth in the Encore team member guidebook

Event Review
- Review and approve technical production, sub-rental requirements, project scope, execution plan and individual responsibilities to lead crewmembers, vendors, and venue.
- Review event ECT, collaborate on providing the best in-class service that meets the client’s budget expectations
- Maintain focus on client needs by working with sales to ensure the proposed estimate exceeds client’s expectations
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal customers and provide outstanding customer service
- Manage all phases of technical consultation, technical review, and financial review
- Manage change orders, ensuring that qualifying changes in scope are reviewed and addressed correctly
- Provide insight to production and operations teams on execution expectations, documenting the development of the event scope
- Ensure all Encore Production and Technical Standards are enforced
- Ensure all Sales Leadership Initiatives are adhered to

Sales Consultation
- Assist sales teams with technical consultation as necessary.
- Define event scope, inclusive of technical production, sub-rental requirements, execution plan
- Assist in developing communication management plan for events
- Mitigate event costs via solution and resource alignment
- Provide feedback to event owner to develop and deliver post show financial analytics

Production Center Leadership
- Partner with Regional Sales Directors (RSD) and Regional Vice Presidents (RVP) to understand and evaluate future business needs from a broad regional/national perspective.
