**Position Description**:

We are currently looking for a highly skilled, caring, and safety focused individual. In this role, you will report to the HR Manager. The HR Coordinator will join a team of HR professionals who are dedicated to supporting the business to enable growth while building on our values-based culture. The HR Coordinator will have a strong focus on DEI and will manage the development and execution of our DEI initiatives. The HR Coordinator will also provide trusted support in areas such as training and development, policy development and implementation, engagement, program management, and recruitment and onboarding. The HR Coordinator will build effective working relationships with managers and employees across our organization.

**Responsibility**:
**Programs**:
- Administration of the Employee Wellness Program.
- Support Wellness Initiatives, Employment Equity, Mentorship, Employee Engagement and similar programs.
- Be the lead on the DEI Program. Responsible for preparing a DEI plan in consultation with the HR team and leading all related initiatives.
- Assist with employee career development, education and retention programs.
- Policy and Program updates including updating the internal Sharepoint page.
- Look into Awards/Certifications for the Company.
**General**:
- Support the Human Resource Manager with all transactional HR functions.
- Process, verify, and maintain personnel related documentation, including staffing, recruitment, training, performance evaluations, classifications, and employee leaves of absence.
- Assist the HR team with Strategic Plan initiatives.
**Recruitment and Selection**:
- Will assist the HR team as needed with the recruitment cycle including:
- Preparing job descriptions and job postings for vacant or additional positions.
- Arrange for advertising or posting of job vacancies.
- Conduct initial screening interviews and set up interviews with hiring managers.
- Inform job applicants of their acceptance or rejection of employment.
- Will be the main administrator of the Predictive Success hiring software.
- Attend College and University Career fairs and other networking events as required.
**Onboarding**:
- Support drafting offer letters, onboarding new employees, collecting all new hire paperwork, submission of IT needs, access to software and hardware, and follow up to ensure all needs are in place prior to the employee start date.
- Prepare new employee orientation packages.
- Schedule and coordinate first day orientation for new hires.
- Conduct the HR orientation and office tour/introduction for new hires.
**Employee Relations**:
- Prepare formal communications to employees, such as letters and forms.
- Write and distribute policies, procedures, memos and other HR communications across all levels of the organization.
- Respond to HR-related inquiries from employees, department managers, the public, and other parties.
**Training and Development**:
