The purpose of the Admissions Coordinator is to provide administrative support for the site with respect to campus operations, processes and procedures to ensure and maintain the efficient operations of the campus. Under the supervision of the Campus Director, the Admissions Coordinator is responsible for providing a variety of ongoing clerical and administrative support tasks to the Campus, including support for the director, admissions, finance, student services staff, the instructors and the students. This position also maintains supplies and equipment as required to meet the needs of the campus.
**WHAT WILL YOU DO?**
The Admissions Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Providing administrative support to ensure the effective and efficient maintenance of the admissions department
- Ensuring campus supplies and equipment are kept stocked and in good working order
- Acting in a manner that upholds the College standards
- Performing other related duties as required
The Admissions Coordinator will at various times be responsible for the following as well as other related duties as assigned to support the business objectives and purpose of the College.
- **_Providing administrative support to ensure the effective and efficient maintenance of campus Admissions by:_**
- Providing general support including but not limited to mailing, scanning and faxing, ordering supplies, reception coverage, preparing correspondence, data entry, filing, and scheduling/arranging meetings and booking rooms, and maintaining databases, reports, documents and other office files.
- Contacting students to complete the admissions file.
- Communicating and coordinating work between departments and outside sources (monthly starts).
- Providing routine information related to the College’s programs, functions and events, departmental activities and/or general College procedures and policies.
- Assisting with the planning and running of campus events, such as Orientation.
- Verification of student files such as pre-requisites and birth certificates.
- Maintaining an accurate filing system for timely retrieval of documents.
- Following up on requests and tasks to ensure deadlines are met.
- Executing month end SPAR and Lead Centre.
- **_Ensuring campus supplies and equipment are kept stocked and in good working order by:_**
- Monitoring, maintaining and ordering general office supplies for the campus.
- Liaising with external suppliers to coordinate maintenance of general office equipment.
- **_Acting in a manner that upholds the College standards through actions such as:_**
- Conducting themselves at all times with the utmost attention to professionalism, integrity and respect for students, the program, colleagues, curriculum and the College.
- Possessing a clear understanding of, and upholding, all of the policies and procedures, as reasonably adopted and amended from time to time by the College.
- Demonstrating strong interpersonal skills in interactions with all college staff and students.
- **_Performing other related duties as required such as:_**
- Maintaining office appearance and cleanliness.
- Duties related to specific assigned department such as Finance or Admissions.

- High school graduation with basic training in office practices, customer service and communication.
- One or more years of experience in a similar position.

- Effective verbal, written and listening communication skills
- Thorough knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to exhibit a professional attitude and image with a commitment to quality service.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Keyboarding speed of at least 40wpm with accuracy.
- Ability to use various office equipment including fax and photocopy machines.
- Ability to multi-task, complete work in a timely manner with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Good judgment and ability to prioritize assignments.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm focus during hectic periods
