**Position Summary**:
The Transfer Credit / Functional Analyst Coordinator is a role that serves both functions within the Business Process Integration and Student Systems team. The Transfer Credit/Functional Analyst Coordinator completes tasks assigned from both portfolios, divides time equally between roles, and completes projects and tasks as assigned by the Manager, Business Process Integration and Student Systems.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- In support of the colleges’ Transfer Credit activities to promote student mobility and improve student retention, serves as an expert resource for the college community on matters relating to Transfer Credit.
- Serves as liaison with other post-secondary institutions in Ontario from which the college receives transcripts; researches grading schemes, credential levels, etc.
- Researches course acceptability and accreditation of unrecognized institutions.
- Populates, updates and manages the Banner Transfer Articulation module and related tables.
- Runs the electronic transcript upload process from OCAS and monitors the results (such as XML standard).
- Serves as a member of the project team that is responsible for implementing new business technologies and processes in the Registrar’s Office. May work collaboratively with the team on a project or be assigned the role of project coordinator based on skills and strengths.
- Conducts needs assessment sessions with project stakeholders to identify business requirements, scope of project.
- Clearly articulates and records requirements using process flow maps, flow charts, user stories, functional and technical specification.
- Problem-solves complex issues for RO system users: Admissions, Registration and Records, academic divisions, and other business units.
- Investigates issues by gathering details about the symptoms, scope, and users affected.
- Develops and conducts test plan(s) to identify the cause of the issue; may involve mapping related business processes to determine if there have been recent changes to processes or data that are affecting the system.
- Leads training for RO systems and business processes, which occurs year-round.
- Other related duties as assigned.

**Educational and Experience Requirements**:

- Three-year diploma, degree, or equivalent from a recognized post-secondary institution in in Business Administration, Information Technology or equivalent.
- Minimum five (5) years’ progressive experience in a Registrar’s Office or a postsecondary academic environment with a minimum of three years’ experience as a team leader or as a Coordinator. Experience working with student information systems, preferably Banner and all related functions (i.e. Admissions, Registration and Grade Reporting).
- Experience analyzing complex business and technical needs and solutions; advanced technical skills.

**Skills and Attributes:
- Demonstrated superior customer service, communication skills and teaching/training experience. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and work on multiple tasks simultaneously, and ability to work independently with little or no oversight. Advanced computer office skills - MS Word, Excel, Visio and advanced level Access.
- Able to travel on a monthly basis to other campuses, ONCAT, and other colleges to attend meetings.
- Demonstrated communication, collaboration, interpersonal, and teamwork skills at a professional level.
- Demonstrated commitment to uphold the College’s priorities on diversity and equity.
