**About the Position**

The Human Relations function is committed to creating a work environment where people experience:

The HR Analyst will be responsible for delivering proactive business intelligence and management information to line managers and stakeholders which will inform the decisions of our HR business leaders in the Canada and Bermuda Territory.
The HR Analyst will work with internal stakeholders within the Human Resources function to maximize the effectiveness of key strategic and operational projects and grow the people-data reporting function and people analytics capability into a predictive and trend-focused approach.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Accuracy: Provide accurate data that can be relied upon to inform decisions, working with other members of the HR Operations team to improve data accuracy within the HR Information System (HRIS).

Data Protection: Ensure that all data is stored and shared in a safe way, adhering to General Data Protection Regulations.

Reporting: Act as a contact for people analytics, focus on producing data in an agile way that is tailored to the needs of each stakeholder.

People Cost, Headcount, Performance: Partner with key stakeholders to develop an accurate and clear methodology to track total people costs. Provide headcount data which is clear and instructive so that managers can more easily predict their staffing levels and costs year over year. Using data analysis tools, help identify high achievers within the organization.

Key HR Processes: Use data to contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of key strategic projects and processes within the HR function e.g., benchmarking, organizational design, learning needs analysis, employee engagement etc.

Presentation of Data: Presenting data both electronically and in person which clearly articulates any findings, assumptions and suggestions that can be used effectively and practically by the stakeholder.

Management Information: Develop a reporting suite that can be accessed on a self-service basis by managers. Work with key stakeholders to deliver meaningful and tailored reporting that drives effectiveness by highlighting risks and trends against external benchmarking data.

Performance Through Data: Develop methods to track return on investment for people-related costs so that the organization can track where to invest its staffing costs and HR processes/initiatives. Provide people-related context and information which can help to influence future philosophy and strategy.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS**:

- Completion of a university program in Human Resources
- CHRP/CHRL designation is an asset
- Process improvement certification is an asset (Lean, six sigma or equivalent)
- Alternative combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- A minimum of two (2)+ years of experience working within an HR function with in-depth knowledge of HR functions, products, and services
- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience working in HRIS Reporting and Analytics
- Workday, Oracle or Ultipro - Kronos (UKG) HRIS experience is an asset
- Comprehensive knowledge of project management as well as process analysis and continuous improvement tools
- Experience using data to identify trends based on benchmarks for people analytics
- Advanced proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required
- Experience using reporting tools for the extraction and manipulation of data
- Experience developing report suites to be access via self-service
- Handling sensitive data in accordance with data protection regulations
- Develop an understanding and support for the mission and purpose of The Salvation Army in Canada and its implications as related to position responsibilities.
