Your role

CBC Marketing & Communications is looking for a dedicated and self-motivated People Operations Manager to join and manage our People Team.

The People Operations Manager is responsible for supporting a #oneMarComms culture and MarComms employee lifecycle in alignment with our departmental

Culture Agreements

through the creation of people engagement and development initiatives. These include managing, developing and tailoring the following corporate employee programs to a MarComms context: departmental onboarding, employee communications, My Priorities & Development (performance management) and learning and development in collaboration with People & Culture partners.

Responsibilities:
- Manages all People Operations functions, such as onboarding, offboarding, performance management, training.- Develop/support the full cycle of the recruitment process, with internal and external help as necessary, to attract the best people out there and hit hiring targets with high-quality new hires across all departments.- Collaborate with our Equity & Inclusion lead to build and support a system that fosters an inclusive and diverse community throughout the MarComms teams.- Support MarComms managers in talent mapping their teams, evaluating key traits for success in hiring/advancement, seeking opportunities to train and develop our staff, and developing efficient and effective teams.- Serve as a crucial point of contact between executive leadership and employees.- Works closely with our partners in People & Culture (HR) to maintain compliance with our collective agreements, federal employment laws and regulations.- Manage a centralized admin team and support them in the day-to-day office functions and processes (e.g. inventory, travel, budgeting, annual leave reports, and more).- Facilitate and lead management relations activities, including conducting internal audits, training and development opportunities.- Plan and direct employee engagement events, which promote a high-performing, inclusive, and mission-driven culture.- Maintain industry leading practices to foster a best in class workforce and culture of security and compliance

Your profile:
- Bachelor's degree- Three (3) to five (5) years experience in a people-focused role, preferably in a creative atmosphere- High emotional and social intelligence with experience fostering positive, strong relationships with diverse groups of people- Excellent verbal and written communication skills that demonstrate a high level of professionalism- Highly organized and detail-oriented; you can handle multiple projects and dynamic priorities without missing a beat- Passionate about people and how they function together to create a valuable organization- Human Resources/People Operations experience an asset
