Le ministère de l’Éducation et du Développement de la petite enfance (MEDPE) est à la tête de la transformation du système d’éducation de la petite enfance et d’éducation publique en Nouvelle-Écosse. Pour ce faire, nous créons des programmes novateurs, facilitons l’excellence en enseignement et en apprentissage, assurons une expérience d’apprentissage inclusive et travaillons en étroite collaboration avec nos partenaires en éducation et en apprentissage des jeunes enfants. Cette transformation fournira aux enfants et aux familles des bases solides pour connaitre le succès. Ce ministère convient particulièrement aux personnes qui désirent contribuer à l’avenir de l’apprentissage des jeunes enfants et de l’éducation publique dans la province en soutenant l’apprentissage des élèves dans un environnement de politiques progressistes tenant compte des besoins.
**Au sujet de cet emploi**:
Sous la direction de la ou du gestionnaire des services de classification, l’agente ou l’agent de classification EPE est responsable de l’examen, de l’évaluation et de la recommandation de niveaux de classification dans le cadre d’un programme provincial réglementé de classification d’éducatrices et d’éducateurs de la petite enfance.
**Responsabilités principales**
- Évaluer un grand nombre de demandes pour confirmer qu’elles sont complètes; analyser les documents connexes, notamment les relevés de notes; déterminer l’admissibilité et recommander les niveaux de classification en conformité avec la loi et les règlements sur l’apprentissage et la garde des jeunes enfants de la Nouvelle-Écosse (Nova Scotia Early Learning and Child Care Act and Regulations). Ceci comprend les demandes venant de la Nouvelle-Écosse, de partout au Canada et de l’étranger.
- Examiner et évaluer l’admissibilité de toute soumission de formation professionnelle et confirmer que les critères pour maintenir la classification sont respectés.
- Se concerter avec les autres partenaires internes et externes, notamment les établissements de formation et les gouvernements provinciaux/territoriaux, en ce qui concerne le partage de données et la cueillette d’informations entre ces derniers.
- Fournir des conseils aux directions des centres de garde en ce qui concerne les exigences réglementées pour la classification et celles des employeurs pour confirmer que le personnel a reçu sa classification et la maintient à jour.
- Fournir en temps opportun des réponses aux demandes sur la classification reçues par téléphone et par courriel.
- Exécuter d’autres tâches, selon les directives.
**À votre sujet**:
Vous avez obtenu votre diplôme d’une université reconnue et la majorité de vos cours sont en éducation et en développement de la petite enfance. Il est possible qu’on accepte une combinaison équivalente de formation et d’expérience.
De plus, vous possédez les qualités suivantes:
- expérience confirmée d’interprétation et d’administration de politiques, de procédures et de règlements; capacité d’analyser les problèmes procéduraux et/ou de programmation, de développer, de recommander et de mettre en œuvre des solutions, au besoin;
- expérience avec les logiciels de Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.); fortes compétences en communication et interpersonnelles, verbales et à l’écrit, notamment la capacité de bien écrire;
- fortes compétences de collaboration; notamment en ce qui concerne le développement et le maintien de relations professionnelles avec le personnel et les personnes intervenantes clés;
- compétences de gestion du temps efficaces relatives à la gestion de priorités multiples dans un environnement dynamique, à la démonstration de bon jugement, au souci du détail et à la prise d’initiative;
- capacité de travailler efficacement à la fois indépendamment et au sein d’une équipe et de promouvoir l’équité, la diversité et l’inclusion dans le milieu de travail;
