- **The Job**
Reporting to the Senior Manager, PR & Communications, this role will own Homebase's social media channels and community-buildingcommunity building efforts and lead strategic programs that bring the Homebase brand to life. As an integral part of the brand and marketing team, you'll oversee the planning, creation, and implementation/distribution of video, social media, community building/management, and branded programs and events. And you'll identify and execute on new opportunities to build an engaged community of small business owners and managers who know and love Homebase

**Responsibilities**
- Leverage social media to build our following, and foster an engaged community
- Partner with brand, customers, creatives, and other stakeholders to support the development of big-idea brand programs
- Propose, develop, implement, test, and optimize social media and community-building strategies for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok
- Concept, create, test, and optimize brand-worthy social media and community-building content — including copy, video, and graphics — working with internal and external creatives to support and scale
- Manage day-to-day social media and project management/operations
- Engage with the community on social managing protocols and messaging, i.e., ensure we're responding swiftly and appropriately to comments, product inquiries, feedback, and other social interactions)
- Use social media as a listening tool to understand and respond to the needs of small business owners
- Work together with PR, Customer Success, and People Operations as needed to issue product updates, issues management communications, and other operational/corporate announcements via social.
- Report regularly on analytics, trends, and social sentiment, and conduct regular social media monitoring to inform these reports
- Stay on top of trending social, community-building, and audience engagement moments whose creative and cultural relevance could be leveraged for insightful, up-to-the-minute content
- Work with PR on identifying and cultivating strong customer relationships for storytelling around the needs and operations of Main Street small businesses

**Requirements**:

- 5+ years' experience in community-building and social media management
- Proven success in growing a brand's social media audience (B2C or SMB experience a plus)
- Repeatable success creating and editing video content for social media
- Exceptional social copywriting skills and the ability to develop creative, engaging, distilled, and original content
- Fierce attention to detail and an eagle eye for grammatical and spelling errors (you know the rules and when and how to break them)
- Experience with Sprout Social or similar CMS tools is an asset
- Proficient in use of Canva, Figma, and/or Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop is a plus)
