Head of Finance | NextAcre

The Head of Finance will also manage the company's accounting and treasury functions, ensuring that financial transactions are accurate, timely, and compliant with regulatory requirements. The position will report directly to the President.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement financial strategies, plans, and policies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Create and manage the company's annual budget and financial forecasts, including revenue and expense projections.
- Manage the accounting and treasury functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions and reporting.
- Manage Payroll and Vacation Day Tracking.
- Manage cashflow between US corporation and Canadian Corporation
- Manage tax planning, compliance, and reporting, ensuring that the company meets all tax obligations. Both
- US and Canadian.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making by the President and senior management team.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, financial institutions, Sred Consultant, and other stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain internal controls and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Hire, train, and work with any other finance team members to ensure the highest level of performance and professionalism.
- Manage, track and submit state withholding taxes.
- Enter, manage and track all expenses per property.
- Responsible for managing all incoming payables, receivables, wire transfers and expenses.
- Credit card management and reconciliations.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- CPA designation preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive finance experience, including leadership roles.
- Strong financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting skills.
- Demonstrated experience in managing accounting and treasury functions.
- Proven track record of tax planning, compliance, and reporting.
- Bonus for US experience and cross border experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
