**Position Overview**:
Under the general direction of the Facility Support Services Lead or designate the incumbent will be responsible to coordinate activities related to improvement capital projects.

**Experience**:

- 3-5 years’ experience in a project management role responsible for planning and coordination of design, procurement and execution activities of capital projects, with complex, multidisciplinary teams and operations.
- Project coordination experience in facilities or construction in a health care field is considered an asset.

**Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)**:

- Post-secondary education in engineering, project management or related field.
- Completion of certified project management course an asset.
- Professional Engineer or Engineering Intern (EIT) with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba and/or accredited Technician/Technologist from a Canadian Association such as the Certified Technicians and Technologists Association of Manitoba (CTTAM) is preferred.

**Certification/Licensure/Registration**:

- Member in good standing: Professional Engineer or Engineering Intern (EIT) with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba and/or Certified Technicians & Technologists Association of Manitoba (CTTAM), preferred.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Knowledge of engineering, project and construction management principles.
- Demonstrated knowledge of project phases: requirements, tender, design, procurement, implementation.
- Basic knowledge in design and construction methods.
- Basic knowledge of building envelope systems, roofing, window, door systems, plumbing, steam, HVAC, building controls, fire suppression and power distribution.
- Knowledge of health care equipment such as medical gases, patient lift equipment, nurse call, is preferred.
- Understanding of health and safety legislation and practices.
- Knowledge of building codes is preferred.
- Possesses excellent research, analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to identify issues, and develop and analyze solutions to resolve problems.
- Strong planning and organizations skill, with multitasking ability.
- Possesses initiative and drive to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills along with excellent communication skills, in both verbal and written format.
- Able to interact well with professionals at all levels both internally and externally.
- Listens and comprehends effectively.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal managerial supervision and to work well within a team environment to establish and maintain good working relationships.
- Effective negotiation skills.
- Conducts self in a considerate and professional manner.
- Can maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to read, interpret and comprehend blue prints, technical drawings, OEM booklets, owner’s manuals, schematics and reports.
- Proficient in the use of software programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
- Ability to use CAD software is preferred.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Office environment.
- Position could require some bending, stretching, standing and walking for some periods.
