THE ROLE

**Responsibilities**:
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and monitor progress throughout the
project duration.
- Conduct drawing and specification reviews
- Contract Administration
- Develop of Owner Project Requirements
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal management, field staff, and
subcontractors to ensure effective resource allocation and timely project delivery.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize potential
issues.
- Conduct regular project status meetings, provide progress updates, and address
any project-related concerns.
- Respond to escalated project issues that may impede project delivery and
coordinate solutions.
- Ensure adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and regulatory
requirements.
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, permits, and technical
documentation.
- Foster strong relationships with clients and subcontractors, providing excellent
customer service and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies
related to renewable energy project management.
- Other Duties as required.
**Qualifications**:
- 5+ years of Project Management (Architectural, Engineering or Construction)
experience.
- Valid class 5 driver’s license with a clean abstract.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with the Metis communities served by the National Government of the
Red River Metis.
- Residential & Commercial construction knowledge and experience.
- Exceptional relationships and reputation with industrusty and trades.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in a field related to Development Project Management.
Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Capital Projects, the Project Manager will:
- Assist in the development of Owner Project Requirements
- Attend meetings, produce minutes, and coordinate follow-up actions and deliverables as
required
- Track project correspondence and maintain a digital file record
- Provide version tracking control for documents such as drawings, specifications and
agreements
- Review architectural drawings for conformance to project requirements
- Review progress billing submissions for completeness and accuracy
- Review and summarize project estimates, bids, budgets and quotations for service and
provide recommendations based on findings
- Correspond with consultants and trades
- Conduct construction site visits as required
- Photograph site conditions, materials, and progress
- Coordinate procurement for appliances, furnishings and fit-up
- Conduct material costs, industry trends, and supply chain research as required
- Produce project documents such as: Requests for Proposals, Expressions of Interest,
and Requests for Quotation
- Assist in tracking and reporting on construction labour hours and Métis labour hours by
project
- Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Ability to read architectural drawings and work in AutoCAD
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and Google Drive
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of capital project management, and/or construction, and/or design processes
- Highly organized
