**Mister Gallant Cleaning and Restoration** is one of the longest operating independent disaster restoration companies in Hamilton and surrounding cities. **Position Summary**:
Restoration Technician supports emergency response and restoration projects to ensure the goals and needs of the insurance companies and our customers are being met. The Water Technician is capable of implementing water remediation procedures consistent with the IICRCS-500 Standard.

Ability to complete emergency clean up and board up windows/doors caused by fires, water, sewer back up, wind damages and other insured events. IICRC qualified preferred but not required.

**Job description Employment requirements**: Able to speak and read English, available 5 days a week, is willing to be on call rotational 7 days, have a valid drivers license, minimum 2 years’ experience preferred

**Responsibilities **Respects and ensures that all health and safety policies and procedures are followed by other employees and sub-contractors Under the direction of the Project Manager, strives to continually improve through specific development plans
- Learns and practices company procedures for water remediation, mold and asbestos
- Learns and implements mitigation techniques
- Possess a good working knowledge of the capability and limitations of all equipment used in water damaged environments
- Performs content handling procedures per company protocol
- Manages onsite emergency response activities, including water damage, fire, wind break and enter
- Carries out specialty cleaning and degreasing of wall and ceiling surfaces

**Qualifications**
- Minimum of 1 year experience in the restoration/emergency industry, preferably working in the Emergency & Contents division
- Relevant cleaning experience may be considered
- Valid driver’s license
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Water Remediation Technician (WRT) certification (preferred but not required)
- Understanding of the basic principles of fire and water damage remediation and the ability to carry out assignments independently
- Willing and able to participate in 24/7 on-call rotation
