**About the position**

The Commercial Sales Manager is responsible for growing the business with Ports, Shipping lines, Pilotage
Authorities and Terminal Operators on a global scale.

Your responsibilities include developing strong relationships with customers, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders and preparing sales reports. You will support the developing of service packages, pricing and delivery solutions. Apart from closing sales, you are responsible for maintaining relationships with existing and past customers, following up with prospective customers, and supporting the product development manager in identifying future system requirements. This position will require travel when the situation permits.

You will have a demonstrated track record, with an extensive background in

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop key relationships with clients
- Develop and maintain a sales pipeline
- Develop an annual sales target
- Evaluate and establish pricing targets and strategies
- Develop and implement strategic plans for actualizing sales targets
- Support product feature development
- Support strategies for global sales and marketing
- Establish and lead a global or regional sales team - Note Manager will be responsible for regional sales only
- Work intensively to increase and improve product awareness by building and maintaining relationships with prospects and customers
- Preparing and conducting customer visits, calls, presentations, and negotiations
- Attend conferences and trade shows
- Liaising with operations on pricing/RFQ/RFP preparation and contracts
- Input and timely update of account activities utilizing Sales Force system
- Ensure proper transitioning of customer to operations in line with customer requirements
- Monitor and assess the impact of international and national regulatory and policy issues
- Support ROI analysis of new features and capabilities

**Experience and Qualifications**:

- 5+ years of experience in sales of software products and / or services
- Knowledge of and experience in marine operations in the shipping or port / terminal domain.
- A strong, energetic presence
- Must have strong customer relationship skills
- Ability to accurately forecast sales
- Ability to analyze data to find trends and problems
- Able to work in a team in diverse / multiple stakeholder environment
- Must be fluent in English (written and oral), additional languages an asset
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
