**Summary**:
The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, training, and supervising a team of volunteers to assist with various tasks at the camp. This role involves working closely with the Program Director and other staff members to identify volunteer needs and develop strategies for recruiting and retaining volunteers. The Volunteer Coordinator should have a passion for community service and a desire to create meaningful and rewarding volunteer opportunities for individuals of all ages.

**Tasks and Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with the Program Director and other staff members to identify areas where volunteers can assist with camp operations
- Develop and implement a recruitment strategy to attract volunteers from a variety of sources, including community organizations, schools, and social media
- Screen and interview potential volunteers to ensure that they meet the requirements and expectations for volunteering at the camp
- Develop and deliver training for volunteers, including orientation, safety procedures, and other relevant information
- Supervise and support volunteers as they assist with various tasks at the camp, including administrative tasks, program delivery, and maintenance tasks
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for volunteers, including attendance, performance evaluations, and other relevant information
- Communicate regularly with the Program Director and other staff members about the progress and needs of the volunteer program
- Assist with the planning and execution of special events and projects that involve volunteers
- Participate in staff training and professional development opportunities as needed

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Education, Leadership, or Youth Development
- 3+ years of experience in coordinating and supervising volunteers
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Passion for community service and creating meaningful volunteer opportunities
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
- Current vulnerable sector screen (within 1 year)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Contract length: 4 months

**Salary**: $18.00 per hour
