Pastry Chef/baker

**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, cookies, and other baked goods daily
- Design and implement a rotating menu of seasonal and signature offerings
- Ensure the quality, freshness, and consistency of all products
- Manage inventory, including ordering ingredients and supplies
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with the coffee shop team to develop pairings and promotions
- Decorate pastries and cakes with creativity and precision
- Monitor baking processes and oven temperatures to ensure proper results
- Respond to special customer requests for custom cakes, pastries, and desserts
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef/Baker or relevant culinary position
- Ability to work early mornings and weekends as needed
- Strong attention to detail and creativity in recipe development
- Knowledge of pastry-making techniques and kitchen safety standards
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Certification in Culinary Arts, Baking, or Pastry Arts is a plus
