Building a community of hope since 1987, we would like to invite you to join our journey. Siloam Mission is currently seeking for a Full-Time Permanent Drop-In Supervisor.

The Drop-In Supervisor will provide professional and proactive support to frontline staff. They are responsible for prioritizing and delegating workload to staff. In consultation with management, this position will help to provide daily feedback and supervision to the team. They will also provide direct support to community members using trauma-informed culturally safe practices.

**KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Lead a team of Drop-In and Clothing Staff, by providing on-site day-to-day supervision working to care to Siloam's community;
- Work, as part of the Drop-In Management team to accomplish performance reviews, training, and development of the team members;
- Monitor, evaluate, and communicate progress of staff with staff themselves, management, and fellow team members on a regular basis;
- Deal with staff concerns that arise on-site in a timely and appropriate manner;
- Mediates conflict between staff and staff and community member as needed or upon request;
- Delegate and assign the work as per the priority and ensure that each staff performs their duties as per the required standards;
- Assists management in implementing of new policies and practices of the two departments;
- Provide direct support for community members accessing Siloam Mission's Drop-In and Clothing services in a professional manner;
- Provide professional compassionate daily feedback and address any behavioural concerns with community members;
- Oversee crisis response plan and ensure the plan is followed;
- Provide professional and informative orientation of the staff to Volunteers;
- Ensure Volunteers are treated with equality, respect, dignity and support them to have a positive experience;
- Ensure crisis/conflict situations are mediated with the use of non-violent intervention techniques (NVCI) taking corrective action as needed;
- Ensure the confidentiality and privacy of community members, staff and Siloam Mission at all times.

**Administrative**
- Prepare and complete incident reports, daily logs and other required documents and reports;
- Oversee program purchases, and maintain stock of supplies;
- Process bi-weekly payroll for the Drop-in and Clothing team;
- Coordinate scheduling of operations and ensure both departments has sufficient complement of staff to efficiently perform all requred duties of the department;
- Maintain accessible training documents, outlining the departments operations, procedures and ensuring all documents are up dated as necessary;
- Submit maintenance requests as necessary.

**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**
- Post-secondary education in relevant social services of equivalent work experience;
- Experience and demonstrated ability to lead a team and work collaboratively as part of a team;
- Demonstrated knowledge of Cultural Awareness, Anti-Oppressive Practice, Trauma Informed best practices, NVCI, ASIST, CPR First Aid, and Mental Health First Aid;
- 1 - 2 years of leadership experience preferred;
- Experience with HIFIS4, Housing Plus databases is an asset.

**KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/BEHAVIOUR**
- Ability to work with a diverse staff team and promote inclusion and cultural awareness in the workplace;
- Demonstrated understanding of the unique issues and barriers affecting those experiencing poverty and homelessness;
- Competent to respond appropriately to violent situations using NVCI;
- Ability to work within a harm reduction framework;
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills'
- Ability to communicate appropriate professional boundaries;
- MS Office and data entry skills

**RELATIONSHIP**

Works closely with Clothing/Drop-In Staff, Community Members, Volunteers and various other departments of Siloam Mission.

**WORKING CONDITIONS**
- Work requires standing and walking for extended periods of time;
- May be required to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally;
- Hours of work is 80 hours bi-weekly, Full-Time Permanent;
- Overtime may be offered when necessary;
- Hazardous conditions could include potential violent outburst from community members towards staff or other community members.
- Hours of work. Alternating schedule Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm and 11:30 am - 8:00 pm working one weekend a month and on call.

Clear Vulnerable Sector Check and Clear Adult Abuse Registry Check will be required.
