As a Program Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients’ lives. The global commercial team is the ‘face’ of AstraZeneca to our many healthcare clients. They represent many of the most well-recognized and respected products in the industry and build strong relationships with healthcare professionals.

**What you’ll do**

The Learning & Capability Development **Program Manager** provides end-to-end support for an assigned Therapeutic Area (TA) or Capability-focused team within the Oncology Learning and Capability Development team. This position will serve as a strategic partner for the team’s daily operations by providing forward-thinking, user-focused process, and technology solutions that ensure the optimal user experience. Primary duties include learning program project management, learning measurement &evaluation and reporting, identifying budget effectiveness strategies, program logistics, as well as interpersonal development. You will provide strategic planning and learning solutions that better the business and ensure outstanding training programs are implemented across the AZ commercial field-based teams as aligned to business needs. This position is the first of several that will be co-located with our AZ Global Learning Operations team in Mississauga, Canada and will help define how we establish industry-leading learning standards, measurements and access to high-impact curriculum.

**Main responsibilities of the role will include**:

- Build and implement learning and development experiences, partnering with partners to build impactful curriculum supporting Oncology Business Unit goals & objectives
- Ensures training programs support the evolving needs of the business and address new initiatives with an emphasis on current trends and practices.
- Support the development and implementation of a comprehensive training curriculum that aligns with core competencies, instructional design, and adult learning principles supporting the overall tumor area or capability-focused strategy.
- Provide project management expertise for the Learning & Capability Development teams by identifying and tracking achievements, anticipating, and running program risks, advising key collaborators of status and issues, coordinating and facilitating functional meetings and communications, and ensuring central access to key planning documents and materials.
- Lead learning content asset management for assigned team and the knowledge management of those materials in the OTD master repository. Serves as LMS lead administrator and will be asked to develop an expert level knowledge of current AZ learning platforms to include Cornerstone, Degreed and Veeva Content Center
- Work closely with vendors during the creation of training materials to ensure all curricula are accurately developed and maintained.
- Collaborate with key cross-functional partners to ensure training strategy and plan are aligned with business goals, objectives, and strategies. Conduct ongoing needs assessment and recommendations on gaps and innovations to be considered by the training teams.
- Lead post-training event sustainment practices to include evaluations and assessments against identified objectives and is responsible for the report back to the business with clear recommendations on sustainment requirements.

**Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience**

**Minimum Requirements**
- 2+ years of Project Management experience or equivalent (do they need to be certified? How to measure?). PMP, Prosci or similar certification preferred
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent
- At least 1 accumulated year of training or training-related experience in pharmaceuticals or related industry
