Job Purpose:

- Install and train on new customer digital and refraction systems - including but not limited to OCT, Laser, Mydriatic and Non-Mydriatic Systems, Automated Phoropter, Biometry, and Wavefront products.

Core Job Duties:
Clinical Responsibilities:

- Train various end-users; physician, physician staff, distributors, colleagues
- Support sales activity by performing product demos
- Communicate and show functionality of the equipment and system
- Perform follow up activities to end users

Technical Responsibilities:

- Install new customer systems/equipment
- Configure components
- Partner with on-site IT to ensure proper network connectivity from equipment to PCs for patient images, data and reports
- Partner with in-house (Topcon) tech support as needed, activation codes, minor technical troubleshooting
- While not traveling, must back up Technical Support for troubleshooting requests when necessary.

Administrative Responsibilities:

- Coordinate schedule and travel with client/end user for installs, demos or tradeshows
- Attend supporting tradeshows to perform demos and interpret clinical needs per doctors
- Complete mandatory reports

Education & Experience:

- 3-5 years clinical experience in private or public ophthalmic environment as an Ophthalmic Photographer, Technician or Clinician
- Hands on Experience with configuration, installations and networking
- COA certification, or proof of working towards certification

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- General product knowledge of Ophthalmic Equipment preferred
- Strong verbal and written skills; ability to write detailed reports
- Organized and able to prioritize workload
- Must be able to work independently and multitask
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Must be able to work independently and/. or within a team environment.
- Valid driver’s license and use of a car
