Summary: The University of Waterloo School of Optometry & Vision Science, Faculty of Science, is seekingqualified applicants for a full-time position in the faculty category of clinical lecturer, in the area ofBinocular Vision (BV)/Vision Therapy (VT)/Vision Rehabilitation. The position is a 1-year definiteterm with the possibility of renewal.The university Optometry Clinics include primary care and specialty clinics that encompass the fullspectrum of the contemporary practice of optometry. The successful candidate will be passionateabout teaching, clinical education, patient care, and the profession of optometry.The successful candidate will have completed a Doctor of Optometry degree and a residencyincluding Vision Therapy/Vision Rehabilitation or have an equivalent of 3 or more years of clinicalexperience in this area. The expectation is to be an enthusiastic clinical teacher with commitmentto exceptional patient care. Assignments will include evenings and some Saturday clinic.The range of duties include intern supervision, residency supervision, on-call services, directpatient care.Applicants should be eligible for a general or academic certificate of registration with the College ofOptometrists of Ontario.
