This position works closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing (DOSM) to support all sales and marketing initiatives. A Sales Coordinator with the Delta Hotels by Marriott Regina will work with the DOSM to develop and implement the marketing plan as outlined by DOSM and activities for the hotel to increase brand awareness, communicate promotions to all relevant target markets and address hotel business needs. The Sales Coordinator is also responsible for supporting the sales team with the booking and management of smaller group hotel blocks to maximize revenue; and working collaboratively to support the sales office to achieve budget. Additional responsibilities for this role included fielding incoming phone calls, maintaining office and client files, creating gift certificates, creating Purchase Orders, timely generation of appropriate reports and other duties as required

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Previous Marketing experience in a similar hotel environment
- Previous Sales experience in a similar hotel environment
- Strong analytical skills to understand key business indicators and competitive trends and develop approaches to these challenges
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Ability to work under pressure at all times
- Knowledge of computer design/graphic software such as Canva, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Publisher Photography, video and video editing experience an asset
- Strong Familiarity with various social media and web platforms including managing business pages is required
- Research and develop new opportunities within key target markets
- Produce monthly reports as required
- Must possess exceptional customer-focused skills
- Must be able to build and maintain credibility and relationships with customers (internal and external)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
- Strong organizational and time management skills. Proven ability in time management and handle multiple priorities; must be able to plan and execute effectively and efficiently and meet deadlines in a demanding environment

- Must have a focus on detail and driving topline results
- Possess a strong sense of urgency, pro-activeness and a high drive for results
- Ability to identify and solve problems
- Strong knowledge of web-based software usage, navigation and CMS.

- **Effectively working and collaborating with others toward a common goal.Primary Duties- Communicate effectively, to target markets, the amenities and benefits of the hotel, including hotel refurbishments, food and beverage provisions, conference, banqueting and events.
- Manage online content on all OTA partner websites, CVENT and other websites, as directed.
- Work with the DOSM on all media influencer opportunities.
- Work with the sales team on all sales blitz opportunities.
- Creation of collateral for the Sales team and other hotel departments as required.
- Work closely across all hotel departments, seeking proactive opportunities and planned promotions to address specific business challenges, as required.
- Manage and promote the hotel on Marriott branded website. Work with Marriott to improve key search engine rankings and drive revenue through paid search channels.
- Manage and control marketing budgets by using resources effectively as per the direction of the DOSM.
- Develop and take ownership of promotional activities, marketing channels and the production of marketing materials for specific events.
- Support the DOSM and other Executives as required to Implement PR campaigns to celebrate successes and awards and the promotion of products
- Assist in shared administrative support for the Sales office which includes but not limited to answer telephones, direct calls, take and relay messages, maintain office equipment and supplies, ensure the Sales office is clean and tidy.
