Fortin's Supply, Machine Shop and Home Hardware is a family owned business that has been part of the community since 1946. Fortin's currently has stores in Chilliwack, Vedder, Abbotsford and Hope.

We are seeking enthusiastic individual to fill a Full-time Accounts Receivable position our team.

The primary role of the Accounts Receivable person will be to manage incoming payments and administration of customer accounts as well as cash reconciliation.

This is a position which assumes some level of familiarity with the Accounts Receivable cycle and good customer service skills. All training necessary in the Counterpoint software will be provided.

**Duties will include but are not limited to**:

- Print and reconcile settlement reports - Home Gift Card, EFT to bank etc.
- Posting of payments received on account
- Adjustments and corrections to accounts such as NSF charges, service charges, PST adjustments
- Set up new accounts including credit references, welcome letters and work with outside sales staff
- Setting up and Assisting with Auto Ecat accounts
- Manage credit limits of customers
- ** Collection of overdue accounts** including referrals to collection agency
- Data-entry in various excel spreadsheet reports
- Communication with customers to reconcile accounts, provide missing paperwork and reconcile issues
- Instore billing and reconciliation
- Reconciling daily cash out reports
- Direction of the month-end closing and statement process

**The Accounts Receivable person must be**:

- Detail Oriented - the accuracy of this work is critical to cash flow and customer service
- Reliable - the rest of the sales team will be depending on the work of the accounts receivable person
- Responsible - able to work with support but without direct supervision on tasks assigned
- Efficient - tasks are to be completed within stated time-lines so that financial reporting is timely
- Trustworthy - the sales and customer information is confidential and the accounts receivable person will be expected to maintain confidentiality of all information being processed in the Fortin’s office.
- Software - must be proficient in using a computer and various programs including Microsoft Excel and Word
- Flexible - Able to work on weekends/holidays as needed. Although this doesn't happen often and you get to take time back, it is important our month end is ran on the 1st of every month what ever day that lands on
