**WHAT YOU WILL DO**

**RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE**:

- Implement enhancements for existing systems by installing software, making configuration and/or code changes.
- Perform technical configuration of systems and their components to ensure successful implementation and maximize system value to the organization.
- Test system functionality and technology solutions to ensure requirements are meeting business needs.
- Participate in system User Acceptance Testing, Site Acceptance Testing and Factory Acceptance Testing to drive the highest quality solution to meet airport requirements.
- Act as a Level Two resource for incident resolution and provide solutions to resolve issues in a timely fashion as priorities dictate. This may include evenings, weekends and on-call work.
- Seek efficiencies, reduce downtime and increase system optimization by maximizing existing systems with incremental improvements.
- Develop system documentation and technical support procedures for airport system technology that will be used by frontline operations and vendors.
- Develop reports and analyze system data to help business partners make decisions about their business processes and technology needs (i.e. optimization and improvement for future expansion and growth of systems and their hardware).
- Work collaboratively with the other YYC IT groups, YYC business units, contractors and vendors to provide a well-rounded and robust technology solutions.
- Demonstrate a proactive attitude and inclination toward innovation by staying on top of the latest software technology developments and actively making recommendations that will enhance the team’s work and drive value to the Airport Systems’ customers and stakeholders.

**WHAT YOU BRING**
- Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Computer Science, Computer/Electronics Engineering or two years of similar Information Technology work experience.
- Junior level understanding of all airport systems and dependencies as well as understanding of the hands-on components of the systems with the ability to make changes as required.
- Excellent technical trouble shooting skills and abilities with proven experience on the interrelationships between core operating system, software and database systems.
- Good ability to read, interpret and understand IT technical specifications.
- Good knowledge of: Microsoft Technologies including MS Server, IIS, and MS SQL, ITIL foundations, quality improvement practices, Business Analysis process, and basic understanding of CADD drawings and system interface specifications.
- Able to make accurate and timely decisions within their area of influence for services under their direction and to organize, communicate and present information to YYC stakeholders.
- Excellent technical troubleshooting skills and abilities with proven experience on the interrelationships between core operating system, software and database systems.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills to successfully liaise with a large number of customers, other Authority departments, contractors, system manufactures, vendors and other partners.
