Our Airfield Operations team is passionate about airport operations and ensuring that our airfield operates efficiently, effectively
and, above all else, safely. Whether it’s rain or shine, or even snow, this team makes certain that our airfield is safe and secure
through site inspections, wildlife management, compliance audits and much more.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**
Reporting to the Manager, Airfield Operations, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe airfield operating environment for
aircraft, vehicles, and personnel at one of Canada’s busiest airports. Your primary responsibilities include:
- Daily implementation of the Airfield Site Self Inspection Program (SSIP).
- Daily execution of the Wildlife Management Program.
- Inspection and reporting of Runway Surface Conditions in all types of weather conditions
- Providing guidance to Authority staff and other agencies on matters of airfield safety and compliance through the
- Acting as the Airfield Construction Coordinator. This includes:
- Coordinating with Project Managers, Integrated Operations Centre, and NAV Canada
- Reviewing construction schedules.
- Preparing, issuing and managing all airfield NOTAMs.
- Attending construction planning meetings and advising on operational impacts and regulatory compliance.
- Inspecting construction sites for correct implementation of operational safety measures.
- Conducting audits of Authority assets and tenant operations ensuring compliance with regulations and Authority
- policies.
- Enforcement of the high standards expected from all who operate on the Airfield.
- Providing support to our Airfield Operations team in snow events as required.
- Providing support to the Integrated Operations Centre.
**WHAT YOU BRING**
- Knowledge of airport operations and regulations.
- Ability to obtain the following:
- Airside Vehicle Operators Permit (AVOP)
- Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC)
- Restricted Radio Operators Certificate
- Restricted Possession Acquisition License (RPAL)
- Ability to work a rotating shift schedule in a 24/7 operation including days, afternoons, midnights, weekends and
- holidays.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as high degree of attention to detail.
- Effective written and documentation skills in order to complete Airfield Site Self Inspections, daily shift summary and
- incident reports.
- Ability to work effectively as a team and independently with mínimal supervision
- Proof that you are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 as approved by Health Canada
- This role is considered safety sensitive and will require a pre-employment drug and alcohol test through a third-party provider
**WHAT ELSE?**
- Knowledge of wildlife management theory and techniques is an asset.
- Post-secondary education in airport operations would be considered an asset.
- Existing knowledge of airport, aviation and transportation functions is an asset.
- Experience working in an Airfield Operations environment is an asset
- Ability to handle stress and deal with crisis situations in a calm manner and be able to assist in managing others in a
- stressful environment.
