Your Opportunity:
Reporting to the Executive Director, Royal Alexandra Hospital Operatives Services (DTC OR, GOR, & OSC), EZ Centralized Programming, EZ Surgical Oversight Lead & EZ Contracted Surgical Facilities (CSF) Programs, the Process improvement Lead (PI) will provide leadership and support to the Edmonton Zone Operative Services strategic initiatives, service plans, and projects to advance strategic objectives, quality clinical program development and implementation across the program and site. PI consultant works with a high degree of independence and in concert with leadership to provide leadership and direction to various stakeholders and assist them to understand, utilize, and implement process improvement strategies and methodologies (e.g Lean, Six Sigma) that will enhance existing and/or new health system design solutions and opportunities. The PI will ensure that assigned projects are researched, developed, implemented, and delivered in accordance with the AHS strategic direction and performance standards.

Working alongside physicians, clinical leaders and educator teams, the incumbent will design and facilitate value stream level improvements that tie directly to Operative Services performance measures; coordinate and in process improvement to train groups of leadership in the quality coach/mentor operations champions to execute small improvement projects; develop working relationships with departmental leaders, physicians, and frontline supervisors and employees to coach them through a change process; be accountable for impact/outcome metrics along with operations staff and physicians; run larger system-wide improvement projects.

**Required Qualifications**:
Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences, Engineering, or Business Administration (equivalent combination of education and clinical experience may be considered);
- Minimum 5 years general business experience or clinical quality improvement, preferably in the health sector, service, manufacturing. - Minimum 3 years using improvement methods and tools in leader role - Quality improvement certification/designations such as Lean, Six Sigma Black Belt, LSS, IHI Improvement Advisor, etc. (Black Blet of equivalent designation; equivalencies will be considered) - Expertise in utilizing and providing coaching in improvement tools and methods including but not limited to: VSM, DMAIC, 5S, Visual Management, Flow and Load Balancing
