**Educational Technology Support**:
**Primary Purpose**: The position is responsible for providing a variety of supports for technology enhanced teaching, learning, research, and administration for faculty, staff, and students across all sites of the College of Nursing.

**Nature of Work**: Based at the University of Saskatchewan Prince Albert campus and reporting to the College of Nursing Director of Operations & Strategic Planning, the incumbent is a member of the College of Nursing’s provincial E-Learning Centre and works closely with leadership, faculty, and staff to achieve shared outcomes. The position will participate in the implementation of a variety of tools and services that support distributed operations and academic program delivery in a professional academic setting. The incumbent must navigate within a context of continuous improvement, competing deadlines, and shifting priorities. There is a high standard for the quality of work.

The College of Nursing is the largest non-departmentalized college at the University of Saskatchewan, and is among the most distributed, with programming and sites across Saskatchewan. Success in the fast-paced environment is enabled through strong interpersonal skills, proficient communication skills, the ability to prioritize, and the capacity to be self-directed at times. Occasional travel may be required.

The E-Learning Centre contributes to the strategic goals of Nursing’s “Learn Where You Live” academic programming by leveraging institutional technology platforms and services for implementation within a distributed health professional college.

**Accountabilities**:

- Leverage the USask LTE (Learning Technology Ecosystem) when working collaboratively with nursing faculty to interpret pedagogical goals and recommend e-learning solutions for both traditional and distributed course offerings.
- Collaborate with senior developers and college communications specialists to manage website content, publishing and implementing improvements to college and course websites.
- Provide clear and thorough training and troubleshooting for faculty, staff, and students in the use of technology in teaching and learning.
- Create engaging media using digital image and video capture, editing, and publishing software & hardware tools.
- Work collaboratively with the other members of the E-Learning Centre to implement innovative technology solutions and provide outstanding service and support to faculty, staff, and students.
- Work with the senior support specialist in the college to provide monitoring and support for synchronous video and web conferencing events.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and management of administrative technology solutions for the college.
- Remain current with industry and institutional best-practices, strategies, trends, and technologies to introduce innovative solutions into nursing education and research.

**Education**: University degree in Education, Computer Science, Business or related field with a focus on teaching, learning, and technology. A post-secondary diploma or certificate with more than 2 years applicable experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

**Experience**: Experience with working in project development teams. Knowledge of best practice web publishing, Learning Management Systems, virtual classrooms, synchronous/asynchronous distributive learning tools, audience response systems and streaming media. Experience with SharePoint. Experience with digital image manipulation and digital video editing (Adobe Creative Cloud). Knowledge of IT systems, solutions, and implementation in an academic setting is an asset.

**Skills**: Ability to work independently and as part of an integrated team of professionals; effective time management and project management skills; exceptional organizational skills including managing competing priorities; strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential within a distributed college environment; ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users; ability to deliver innovative client service initiatives which improve quality and enhance client satisfaction; ability to build working knowledge of web technologies, media development software, administrative processes, and video conferencing; strong creative and problem solving abilities; a valid driver’s license is an asset.
