**JOB OVERVIEW**

Responsible to the Fleet Manager/Line Maintenance for the operation of the Vancouver facility. Includes the servicing, inspection and maintenance of (KFACL) fleet aircraft (and third-party aircraft) in accordance with the company schedule and directives from Kelowna.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Ensure safe work and risk management practices, policies and procedures are followed including compliance with CARS.
- Support and promote the SMS Program.
- Management & Supervision of staff at YVR Base, including:

- Line Maintenance Operations (Fleet & Customer)
- Heavy Maintenance Operations
- Materials Management Operations
- Facilities

Ability to balance the needs of multiple aircraft requirements (and occasionally multiple customers) simultaneously while managing priorities adeptly. Is personally involved in customer planning and decision-making regarding KF Aerospace services and products. Demonstrates customer advocacy balanced with KF Aerospace goals and objectives in all decision making. Often solving problems where precedent occurs.

**Organizational Effectiveness**

Ability to organize the resources of multiple complex tasks simultaneously with the network of leaders, managers and supervisors with responsibility for developing the annual operating plan for the business unit. Functions as a project sponsor, designs projects and manages outcomes. Effective stewardship of the resources. Continuous monitoring and implementing process improvements. Leads organizational initiatives of safety and risk management.

**Business**
- Coordinate planned maintenance for all aircraft at YVR
- Monitor task progression
- Ensures paperwork and ERP (M3) data entry is completed in a timely and accurate manner
- Assist the planning department with task planning
- Involved in facility maintenance and upgrades
- Assesses tooling requirements and involved in tooling purchases
- Develops Risk Reduction Plans (RRP’s)
- Prepare for audits and respond to audit results (ISO, TC, RMS, etc.)
- A member of the Reliability Review Board which meets on a monthly basis.
- Ensures care and custody of equipment, tools, publications, etc.
- Ensures facility housekeeping
- To identify, initiate, recommend, or provide solutions to quality problems through designated channels.

**Customer**
- Responsible to manage customer representative requirements and find solutions to outstanding issues
- Responsible for promoting good customer public relations
- Assist with customer requests, evaluate their needs and concerns

**People**
- To assign and review tasks with base staff
- Designates manpower allocation
- Establishes consistency for employee disciplinary issues
- Works with the Training & QA departments to request courses for employees and review course requirements

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Valid Transport Canada A.M.E. Type “M” license
- Experience working on, or endorsed on B737, B757, ATR or CV580 aircraft
- A minimum of 7 years of aviation maintenance experience
- A proven track record of effective leadership and managerial skills in the Aviation Industry.

**DIRECT SUPERVISION**
- Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers, Apprentices, and Operations Coordinators
