$53,054 to $90,950

Procurement Coordinator of the Material Resources and Transportation Department
**NATURE OF THE WORK**:
The position of procurement analyst encompasses, in particular, the analysis, development, coordination and control of systems, methods, procedures and programs pertaining, among others, to administrative organization and operations, communication structures, data processing by computer or by other means, and the rational use of school board resources. The procurement analyst is responsible for the various activities related to contract management, mainly the call for tender management and accountability reporting, in accordance with applicable laws, policies and directives. In addition, you will be required to:
- Review technical specifications to ensure contractual options are adapted to the needs of the organization;
- Provide advice to the personnel’s and stakeholders’ managers;
- Ensure accountability obligations are met and ensure the quality of the publications that are issued;
- Evaluate received tenders and ensure procurement contracts’ implementation;
- Preside over tender evaluation committees;
- Manage procurement files with the Centre d’acquisition gouvernemental (CAG);
- Carefully administer the contracts until their completion and ensure goods and services contracts’ follow-up and renewal;
- Recommend methods and procedures that can improve process efficiency and effectiveness;
- Carry out market research and financial analysis to develop acquisition strategies to help reduce the total cost of acquisition;
- Maintain ethical and professional business relations with providers and internal partners;
- Act as a negotiator with suppliers.
- Prepare documents for the Council of Commissioners as well as commitment letters for the successful tenderer;
- Administer the management system and the tracking tools by validating the integrity of data being entered;
- If need be, perform any other related duty
**REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- Have a minimum of two (2) years experience in contract management, including public tenders and contract administration;
- Possess knowledge of the public sector laws and by-laws;
- Hold an attestation of studies as a Selection Committee Secretary (considered an asset);
- Demonstrate an analytical mindset and risk management capabilities;
- Possess leadership and teamwork skills;
- Have a capacity for anticipation, initiative and management under pressure;
- Demonstrate customer focus and have the ability to build strong partnerships;
- Very good knowledge of French (oral and written) and a functional knowledge of spoken English;
- Pass the French, Excel and Word tests
