The Payroll Services team is responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling all aspects of FNHA’s payroll function. The team ensures compliance with federal, provincial and employment standards legislation, including understanding complex tax legislation related to First Nations staff. To meet the changing operational needs of the team, we are looking for a Payroll Administrator to join and support us in this important work

**About the role**
As a Payroll Administrator, you will process payroll and exception time related to leaves, allowances and additional hours for all FNHA employees. Additionally, ensuring that all aspects of the payroll cycle are processed in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with FNHA, union and government policies, terms and regulations. You will perform bi-weekly audits of employees’ time entry and exception time to ensure accuracy and compliance with organizational leave and overtime policies and collective agreements.
**About you**
- To be successful in this role you will have: _
- Successful completion of secondary school, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Successful completion of Canadian Payroll Association PCP certification is an asset
- Relevant experience working as a payroll clerk (usually acquired over a 2-year period)
- Experience working with BC First Nations organizations in a financial capacity
- Experience in the use of Microsoft Office suite of software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Experience with union hourly payroll environment is an asset
- Experience working with time and attendance systems is an asset
- Knowledge of PeopleSoft (Oracle) Canadian Payroll desired with experience
- Knowledge of payroll and accounting practices and principles

As a health and wellness organization, the FNHA has aligned with the Provincial Public Health Order released on October 14, 2021. We have a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all employees at First Nations Health Authority. This policy requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. If selected for employment, you will be required to provide proof of vaccination by providing a copy of your BC Vaccination Card Passport with the QR code.
