The Human Resources Coordinator provides support to the Director, Human Resources aimed at aiding the department and Company achieve its objectives. This individual has responsibility in the areas of recruitment and onboarding, marketing and corporate development, training, benefit distribution, policy maintenance, as well as other human resource activities.

**Role and Responsibilities**
- Build and sustain beneficial relationships with educational institutions.
- Ensure job descriptions for all positions are accurate and kept current.
- Ensure the compatibility of applicants to job positions through interview and profile assessments as provided by recruitment team.
- Prepare employment requisitions for approval.
- Work in liaison with recruitment to make sure job descriptions are accurate and current.
- Oversee adequate and consistent orientation and training within the organization.
- Act as employee liaison during the onboarding process.
- Action scheduled follow-up and Probationary review Forms with Management for all new hires.
- Create and maintain employee files, including vacation and sick day files for all field employees.
- Plan, organize and attend local recruitment fairs as required.
- Provide functional support for corporate initiatives including the quarterly newsletter, website and intranet.
- Administer and maintain training for office staff as applicable.
- Develop and execute employee surveys to gauge employee engagement and satisfaction.
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of HR policies and procedures as well as the Employee Handbook as required.
- Conduct and provide research as required and ensure policies are kept current.
- Ensure company policies comply with federal and provincial legislation.
- Organize, maintain and assist with communication of all HR policies and procedures.
- Provide general information, support and assistance to employees internally and externally over the phone, electronically and in person.
- Communicate to internal stakeholders in Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards and regulations.
- Recommend, develop and maintain human resource data bases, computer software systems, and manual filing systems.
- Ensure effective exit interviews and provide management with analysis and recommendations.
- Other duties as assigned to meet department and corporate objectives.

**Qualifications**:

- ** Education**: Post-secondary degree or diploma in related field. CPHR designation in progress an asset.
- ** Experience**:Minimum 1-2 years of solid hands-on working experience in an HR role.
- Experience in the Construction Industry preferred.
- Travel may be required.
- Ability to attend and conduct presentations.
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
