Located on the brink of one of the world’s greatest natural wonders, the Marriott on the Falls is a 405 guestroom full service hotel, minutes away from area attractions, world-class wineries, golf and casinos. The Marriott on the Falls also offers sumptuous dining options at its on-site Milestones Fallsview Restaurant along with 23 private function rooms and boardrooms totaling over 40,000 square feet of meeting space including our 8400 sq. ft. Oakes Grand Ballroom with an additional 2700 sq. ft. foyer. Whether our guests are traveling on business or taking a much needed vacation, our mission is to always exceed the expectations of our guests.

**Summary of Responsibilities**:
At the Marriott on the Falls, our Human Resources operations is committed to a work environment that demonstrates/supports the _Marriott core values and culture of putting people first, acting integrity, serving our world, embracing change_and pursuing excellence which helps us thrive as a business. _Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, we are looking for a hospitality professional who has a passion for service, creativity and for continuous learning.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Greeting associates in a friendly professional manner and serving as their first point of contact for routine inquiries, both in person and on the phone.
- Assist with the Skills Development Fund program with the administration tasks by aiding new employees in completing necessary forms and requirements for the program.
- Assist with the onboarding/orientation which includes: brand training to foster positive attitudes towards the Company’s culture and goals that is consistent to the _Company’s five (5) core values of putting people first, acting with integrity, serving our world, embracing change and pursuing excellence._
- Creating daily the Hotel’s brand standard newsletter - that reinforces the Marriott brand service behaviours.
- Handling administrative duties: create and maintain Human Resources on-line filing/record system and prepare employment verification letters.
- Assisting the Human Resources team with specialized projects and corporate events.
- Coordinating locker, parking, and name badge requests.
- Maintaining the highest degree of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Serving as a role model to Associates by demonstrating appropriate Marriott service behaviours.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Job Requirements**:

- Working towards a degree/diploma in Human Resources, or related degree program.
- Presentation skills necessary to assist in facilitating orientation/training and information sessions to Associates.
- Must be dependable in attendance and able to meet established deadlines.
- Fluent English (written, spoken and reading)
- Demonstrated ability to interact and communicate positively/effectively with guests and associates at all levels within the organization both orally and writt
- Knowledge of all Human Resources related legislative requirements: Ministry of Labour, WSIB, Occupational Health and Safety Act and Human Rights.
- Must have a welcoming/approachable personality and helpful nature.
- Ability to work independently and in a team structure.
- Outstanding attention to detail - both personal grooming/ appearance and work accuracy.
- Excellent customer service skills. Demonstrates energy and enthusiasm.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills and ability to work under pressure with frequent office interruptions while performing tasks.
- Occasionally must be able to lift, carry and push objects weighing less than or equal to 10 lbs. without assistance.
