**About this role**:
**As a Junior Funeral Director at Kelly Funeral Home - Barrhaven Chapel in Ottawa, Ontario**, you will have the opportunity to provide meaningful support to families on their end-of -life journey by overseeing and directing all aspects of funeral services, including: filing death certificates, maintaining online obituary listings, performing decedent embalming and providing assistance during the execution of funeral services.

**Job Type**:Full Time, Permanent

**Key Qualifications and Demonstrated Abilities**:

- Enrolled in a post-secondary funeral service program in Ontario.
- Passion for customer care demonstrated in previous professional experiences.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and consistently high level of accuracy.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated strong customer service skills with the ability to partner will all levels of the organization.
- Exemplifies Arbor’s values of compassion, integrity, trust, teamwork, belonging and excellence.
- Excellent knowledge of Funeral Home procedures and business practices including Funeral Home Procedures Manuals.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving abstract.

**Responsibilities**:

- Arranges, coordinates and directs funeral ceremonies under the direction of a Senior Funeral Director or Funeral Home Management.
- Meets and surpasses the needs and expectations of the families we serve.
- Maintains active involvement within the community and is committed to building and establishing effective relationships and rapport.
- Supports the Funeral Service Department’s vision of technology integration by understanding the role technology plays in the funeral home’s success.
