**LICENSED FUNERAL DIRECTOR**

We are a locally owned and operated Ottawa funeral home with multiple locations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Meet with families to discuss funeral arrangements and provide guidance and support during the planning process
- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of funeral services, including scheduling, and logistics
- Prepare the deceased for burial or cremation, including embalming, dressing, and casketing
- Arrange for transportation of the deceased to the funeral home or cemetery
- Assist families with obtaining necessary permits and legal documents
- Coordinate with clergy, musicians, and other service providers to ensure a seamless and meaningful funeral service
- Provide grief support and counseling to bereaved family members
- Manage funeral home operations, including budgeting, inventory management, and facility maintenance

**Requirements**:

- Must have a valid Funeral Director license or be in the process of obtaining one
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong computer skills
- Bilingualism an asset
- Willingness to accept a work schedule that includes some weekends and taking turns being on-call.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism
- Sales experience is preferred

**Salary**: From $45,000.00 per year
