Hybrid Youth Employment Program Participant

Our youth employment programs are 15-week hybrid programs with locations in Mississauga, Toronto, and Scarborough. Our program assists **youth aged 15-30 **with barriers to employment including mental health. The Youth Employment Readiness Project commences with 6 weeks of workshop training that you are paid to attend.

Our Youth Employment Programs boast a 75% success rate of participants obtaining and maintaining gainful employment upon completion of our programs. Participants are provided an opportunity to obtain additional certifications and trainings to help reach their personal and professional employment goals. To start your new employment journey, our participants are provided with two weeks of transportation and food support. Dedicated and successful participants are eligible for up to $750 in bonuses

The program begins August 7th, 2023.

Eligibility criteria (please review before applying):

- YOU MUST be a resident of the GTA and a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- YOU MUST be between the ages of 15-30.
- YOU MUST not be currently employed (even part-time) or registered to attend school in the near future.
- YOU MUST be willing to work 30+ hours per week.
- YOU MUST have a laptop with a working webcam and microphone that can run Zoom. Being on camera during virtual workshops is mandatory

**Salary**: $15.50 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus pay

- Generally, where are you located? (i.e. Main intersection, neighborhood, nearby mall)
- Please list some jobs or industries you are interested in working in (i.e. cashier, food service worker, bartender, budtender, cleaning, security, hotel industry, admin, customer service, etc)
- Have you been in a youth employment program in the past? If so, when?
- Are you willing to come into the office (near Eglinton & Centennial Park Blvd) for 3 days/week and work from home 2 days/week?
- Have you had a job within the last 6 months? If so: when did it end, what was the job and what were the hours? (Full-time, part-time, temporary/seasonal, casual/on-call etc)
- Do you have access to a laptop with a camera and microphone? Are you willing to be on camera during our virtual webinars?
- Are you currently enrolled in school? Are you enrolled to start school in the next 6 months?
- Do you identify with having an emotional or mental health barrier (this can be self-identified or diagnosed)? For example: self identifying with experiencing anxiety in social settings, depression, etc.
