This Employer Liaison position is mainly responsible for the creation of employment opportunities for ACCES clients in the Financial Services Connections in a Digital World Program and Leadership Connections in Finance, IT, and Consultancy. The Employer Liaison in this position works alongside the ACCES Employment Consulting team and will work closely with all community partner agencies and employers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement marketing and outreach strategies to finance employers.
  2. Liaise with community professionals and employers to create competitive jobs and employment opportunities for finance professionals.
  3. Monitor and track all placements, oversee training plan development, and conduct on-going follow-up to ensure successful employment outcomes for program participants.
  4. Integrate work with all ACCES staff, in particular with the Employment Consultant team.
  5. Provide employment preparation and employability group sessions and individual resource centre support when required.
  6. Provide culturally sensitive employment services including intake and assessment, one-to-one and group employment counseling, and referrals when required.
  7. Arrange job fairs, guest speakers, and networking events.
  8. Other duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Business Degree or equivalent.
  2. 3 or more years’ experience in job development, employer outreach, employment counseling, and/or recruitment.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  4. Understanding of labour market information and trends.
  5. Experience in the not-for-profit sector and/or employment sector is preferred.
  6. Demonstrated ability to work and co-operate in a team.
  7. Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  8. Able to facilitate group activities.
  9. Effective networking skills.
  10. Highly responsive.
  11. Experienced and highly proficient working in an MS Office environment and with online virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom, WebEx, and Microsoft Teams.
  12. Familiarity with online platforms and database management programs (ex. Salesforce).
  13. Knowledge of/experience working with diverse job seekers, including newcomers, youth, persons with disabilities, Ontario Works recipients, etc.
  14. Experience in business development, sales, B2B recruitment is considered an asset.
  15. Experience working with sector-specific employers in the Financial Services sector is an asset.
  16. Flexible to work occasional evenings and weekend hours.

We are currently on a hybrid work schedule, working in the office and from home. This hybrid work schedule is subject to change based on business requirements.

Job Status: Unionized

Contract Duration: 1 Year with Opportunities for Extension

Salary: $58,345.64 per annum (as per Union salary grid), prorated to contract duration.
