Chef (Culinary Specialist)

We seek a skilled and passionate Back-of-House Culinary Specialist to join our dedicated kitchen team. As a Back-of-House Culinary Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our restaurant's kitchen's smooth operation and success. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking a wide range of high-quality dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and collaborating with the kitchen staff to deliver an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
**Responsibilities**:
- Prepare and cook a diverse range of menu items by established recipes and presentation standards.
- Execute food preparation tasks efficiently, ensuring the timely delivery of dishes during peak hours.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including equipment, workstations, and storage areas.
- Adhere to proper food handling and safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with health and sanitation standards.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate and prioritize food orders, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient service.
- Monitor food inventory levels and assist in placing orders for ingredients and supplies as needed.
- Assist in menu planning and contribute creative ideas for new dishes, specials, and seasonal menus.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, guiding cooking techniques, plating, and food presentation.
- Participate in regular kitchen meetings and actively contribute to improving kitchen operations and overall guest satisfaction.
- Stay updated with industry trends, new cooking techniques, and innovative ingredients to enhance culinary skills continuously.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Solid knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary trends, and best practices.
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize tasks, and multitask effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and maintaining high food quality standards and presentation.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with the kitchen staff.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
