Within Canada, Burckhardt Compression has a strong Services division in which we aim to provide one-stop reciprocating service for our customers. We are able to provide field service, repair and engineering/revamp services and spare parts for any brand of reciprocating compressor.

Burckhardt Compression (Canada) Inc. (BCCA) has an opening for a **13 month contract Payroll & Benefits Coordinator**, that will be directly reporting to the Director of Finance, this position is based in Edmonton, AB.
- **Key Tasks & Accountabilities**_
- Full cycle payroll including total compensation, remittances, expenses, and time off tracking.
- **Key Responsibilities**_

**Payroll & Benefits**
- Processing new hires, employee changes, terminations, and transfers of salaried and staff hourly employees;
- Processing In-house bi-weekly, multi-provincial (AB, ON) payroll for salaried and hourly Employees;
- Reconciling and remitting all payroll and company benefit liabilities, including, but not limited to WCB, CRA, EAP, etc.;
- Reconciling and preparing payroll year end reporting for salaried and staff hourly employees;
- Month end payroll processing;
- Assist in the preparation and processing of full cycle payroll, where required, which includes reviewing and balancing of all payrolls related allocations;
- Understanding and interpreting government legislation to ensure compliance regarding pay/deductions/benefits/taxes/documentation;
- Build and maintain reports and analysis;
- Filing WSIB, WCB and WSBC.
- Administration and maintenance of all BCCA employees’ Registered Retirement Savings Plans;
- Administration of Group Benefits Program;
- Administration and support for company cell phone program;
- Processing and tracking of all additional company perks.
- Employee Apprenticeship processing and tracking;
**Education/Experience**
- Minimum 3-5 years of payroll administration experience;
- A Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification is preferred, or working towards the completion of the PCP certification;
- Intermediate to advanced ADP/Workforce Now experience;
- Experienced processing expenses using Concur;
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with an emphasis on providing exceptional customer service;
- Excellent attention to detail and seasoned problem-solving skills;
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
- Ability to act with the required discretion when handling confidential information;
